Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. Your efforts will directly contribute to a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with safety protocols Operate custodial equipment such as floor walk behind machines and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition Conduct sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness logs and report any facility maintenance issues promptly Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures Ability to operate cleaning equipment including walk behind and industrial vacuums effectively Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach when interacting with staff or visitors Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods throughout shifts Join our team to help create a safe, spotless environment where everyone feels comfortable.
