Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces. Maintain restrooms by cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies as needed. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Handle commercial cleaning duties in various settings including offices, schools, or industrial facilities. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to support the overall upkeep of the building. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly. Qualifications Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus. Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
