Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full Time Janitor to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across a commercial property. Your proactive approach to cleaning and upkeep will ensure that all spaces meet high standards of sanitation, safety, and appearance. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation purposes, following all chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and window washing to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate cleaning machinery and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries. Lift heavy objects safely during tasks such as moving furniture or supplies, practicing proper manual handling techniques. Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and protocols at all times to maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Skilled in the use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas. Good communication skills when interacting with staff or visitors. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks.
