A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Additional tasks include emptying garbage cans, picking up trash and debris in the yard and parking lots, and wiping down walls and doors. Other cleaning duties may be assigned as needed. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience cleaning commercial, industrial, office, healthcare, educational, or manufacturing facilities is preferred. Experience operating floor care equipment, buffers, scrubbers, or other custodial equipment is beneficial. Knowledge of proper cleaning chemical usage, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and pride in their work are well positioned for success as a Warehouse Custodian. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely push, pull, and maneuver cleaning carts and equipment. Ability to work in a variety of indoor environments while following established safety procedures.
