Duties Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment. Conduct lite lifting tasks with safe lifting practices to move chairs and small desks as needed. Maintain cleanliness of windows, fixtures, rugs and other surfaces to uphold facility appearance standards. Utilize janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to sanitation standards and safety guidelines. Report all maintenance issues or safety hazards to your immediate supervisor. Provide excellent customer service by addressing cleaning requests promptly and courteously assisting staff or visitors when necessary. Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the proper use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to safety protocol adherence to maintain a secure work environment. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Customer service mindset with clear communication skills to interact positively with team members and visitors.
