Duties Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning and sanitation processes. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Maintain the cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of sanitation and appearance. Use custodial equipment efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, mops, brushes, and other cleaning tools. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting or light repairs when required. Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects by applying specialized techniques for sanitation and floor care. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored in accordance with safety guidelines. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures. Strong understanding of chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Skilled in the use of various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy objects or moving supplies. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or residential painting is a plus. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence to maintain a hazard-free workplace environment.
