A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job DescriptionSupervise and assist custodians. Ensure the established standards of cleanliness are followed. Clean and maintain public areas; i.e. hallways, lobbies, stairways, locker rooms etc. 
  • Supervise and assist custodians with daily operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas; pick up and remove trash and debris.
  • Responsible for property clean up including bio-chemical/bio-hazard material.
  • Ensure preventative care of equipment and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications
  • Minimum age 18 or 21 (varies by property)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 -2 years of cleaning experience.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, generally the duration of a shift.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
