Job Summary The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all public, back-of-house, and operational areas throughout the property. This position performs deep cleaning, floor care, sanitation, waste removal, and specialized cleaning tasks using commercial-grade equipment and cleaning chemicals. Heavy Duty Cleaners help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and Team Members while adhering to company standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. How You Will Create the Extraordinary Perform heavy-duty cleaning of casino floors, hotel public areas, restaurants, restrooms, offices, stairwells, loading docks, and other designated property areas. Operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, carpet extractors, pressure washers, and wet/dry vacuums. Strip, wax, polish, and maintain hard-surface flooring to established standards. Shampoo carpets and upholstery and complete deep-cleaning projects as assigned. Clean walls, ceilings, windows, vents, light fixtures, and other high-reach surfaces using approved equipment and safety practices. Respond promptly to spills, accidents, biohazard situations, and emergency cleaning requests. Remove trash, debris, recyclables, and bulk waste and transport materials to designated disposal areas. Safely handle, mix, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals in accordance with company policies and safety regulations. Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and report repair or replacement needs to management. Maintain organized work areas and identify potential safety hazards. Provide exceptional guest service by interacting professionally with guests and responding to requests in a courteous and timely manner. Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. What You Will Need High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in heavy-duty cleaning, custodial services, janitorial services, facilities maintenance, environmental services, or commercial cleaning preferred. Experience operating commercial floor care and cleaning equipment preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, floor finishes, sanitation practices, and safe handling procedures preferred. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and strong work ethic. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Ability to work in environments with dust, cleaning chemicals, noise, varying temperatures, and high-traffic areas.
