Job Description
Tues-Sat 5:00am-1:30pm Under general supervision, position is responsible for cleaning of the production equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Breaks down equipment and dry-cleans area in preparation for washing
- Uses a high-pressure foamer with a chlorinated alkaline cleaner to wash all framework, floor grates, tables, floor drains, conveyor belts, and machines
- Uses a foam cleaner on all equipment as necessary to remove bio-films
- Uses a low-pressure rinse hose to rinse detergent off equipment and apply a sanitizer on all equipment
- Complies with all lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Complies with MSDS Right-to-now chemical training
- Completes janitorial duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead
- Report and document any equipment/process abnormalities.
- Adhere to all Safety and GMP regulations
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Problem-solving
- High energy, productive, team player
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to push and/or pull full tofu carts with over 50lbs.
- Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch, climb stairs, and stand during entire shift.
- Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- 1-2 year's of sanitation or related experience required.
- Prior food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
