At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range for this position is $15.50 - $23.25, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth. As an EVS Technician, you will improve the delivery of patient care by providing an aseptic and overall pleasing environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs general cleaning tasks at assigned locations about the Facility or ancillary buildings, including nurses' stations, utility rooms, lounges, restrooms, offices, labs, procedure rooms. Follows the "Ten Step Cleaning" method for all areas. Retrieves cleaning supplies, equipment, and housekeeping cart from storage locations on assigned floor/areas. May restock cart as needed with supplies on occasion. Dry, wet and spot mops corridors, restroom floors or other tiled areas. Dusts fixtures, pictures, vents or other objects and areas located overhead using extension handled high duster. Wipes down and sanitizes water fountains, telephones, and garbage cans. Hand dusts furniture, railings, and ledges. Empties all types/styles of wastebaskets and trash receptacles of waste; opens/removes lid, bag of trash and replaces with clean liner. Cleans restrooms; sprays/wipes off mirrors, counters, sinks, replenishes paper towels, toilet tissue and liquid soap or soap cartridges; cleans toilet inside and out; sprays windows and cleans with cloth or squeegee. Cleans/washes marks off walls and baseboards using extension handled mop and/or by hand using scrub pad. Cleans/vacuums corridors, stairwells, offices, and other common areas using upright vacuum cleaner with wand. May move and rearrange furniture pieces including, but not limited to, tables, chairs, patient beds and gurneys to sweep, mop or vacuum. May assist with removal or hanging of window and cubicle curtains. Ensures adequate security procedures are followed Communicates pertinent information to Shift Supervisor Completes assignments as assigned
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE
Required:
Ability to communicate and read labels in English Able to lift up to 40 lbs
Preferred:
