Under general supervision of the Facilities Director, the Head Day Custodian performs routine custodial and maintenance duties requiring considerable responsibility and judgment. The Head Day Custodian supervises custodial staff, coordinates building operations, ensures facilities are clean, safe, and properly maintained, and performs related maintenance and custodial duties as required.Primary/other Functions:
- Oversees and supervises custodial staff.
- Establishes work schedules and priorities.
- Assigns tasks to staff and inspects completed work.
- Arranges meeting rooms and facility setups.
- Opens and closes buildings and ensures facilities are prepared before and after use.
- Maintains inventories of supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Reports equipment and facility repair needs.
- Cleans and disinfects facilities and performs minor maintenance repairs.
- Operates heating/cooling systems and custodial equipment.
- Moves furniture, removes snow, maintains grounds, and secures buildings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
