In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and appearance. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely. Handle chemical agents following safety protocols for sanitation, disinfecting surfaces, and maintaining hygiene standards. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and proper floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate department. Follow safety protocols consistently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support residential painting or industrial cleaning projects as needed to assist in broader facilities upkeep. Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents. Familiarity with custodial equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other cleaning tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following established safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely for sanitation and cleanliness standards. Basic facilities maintenance skills including minor repairs or troubleshooting issues related to cleanliness or equipment.
