This vital role involves performing custodial duties, ensuring sanitation standards are met, and supporting the overall maintenance of school facilities. The ideal candidate will bring experience in cleaning, janitorial services, and facilities upkeep, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals Handle chemical agents safely following established safety protocols and handling procedures Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain floor care standards including buffing and polishing Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely for moving furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed Maintain sanitation by disinfecting surfaces and ensuring compliance with health standards Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards Support general facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to uphold a safe learning environment Qualifications Proven custodial or janitorial experience in a school or commercial setting Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and sanitation practices Ability to handle chemical agents safely following safety procedures Physical ability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and facility maintenance standards Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Experience with industrial cleaning tools such as floor buffers and commercial cleaning equipment is preferred Join us in creating a clean, safe space that fosters learning and growth!
