Pay:
17.00/hr Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and professional Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our courthouse facility throughout the day. The ideal candidate will take pride in providing a clean and welcoming environment for court personnel, visitors, attorneys, and the public while adhering to security and confidentiality standards. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of public areas, courtrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and entrances. Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. Restock restroom and janitorial supplies as needed. Remove trash and recycling from designated areas. Respond promptly to spills, safety hazards, and special cleaning requests. Set up and break down rooms for meetings or special events when required. Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or security concerns to management. Maintain professional conduct while working in a secure government environment. Follow all courthouse security protocols and safety procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial, porter, or janitorial experience preferred. Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Must be able to pass a background check and meet courthouse security requirements. Why Join Us?
