POSITION OVERVIEW

AquaFree Facilities Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Janitorial Supervisor to oversee field operations across multiple commercial, government/procurement, renovation, and post-construction cleaning projects throughout the DMV region.

The Janitorial Supervisor will be responsible for supervising approximately 8-25 janitorial employees on-site , depending on the size and scope of each project. This is a hands-on field leadership position requiring the ability to manage employees, maintain quality standards, coordinate multiple work phases, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to contractual requirements.

Our projects range from ongoing janitorial service contracts to large-scale new construction and renovation projects exceeding 100,000 square feet , often involving multiple phases, mobilizations, and turnover deadlines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and provide daily direction to approximately 8-25 janitorial employees on assigned projects. Oversee ongoing commercial and procurement janitorial service contracts . Supervise post-construction cleaning and final-clean turnover projects , including rough clean, final clean, and touch-up/powder-puff phases. Coordinate staffing and cleaning activities across multiple phases and mobilizations . Manage projects involving large commercial facilities and construction sites with six-figure square footage . Conduct pre-shift meetings and assign employees to specific areas, floors, phases, or cleaning responsibilities. Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, productivity, and overall job performance. Conduct quality-control inspections to ensure work meets AquaFree and client standards. Communicate with project managers, superintendents, general contractors, property management representatives, and AquaFree management as required. Monitor project progress and identify staffing, scheduling, supply, equipment, or quality-control concerns. Ensure employees follow project-specific scopes of work, safety requirements, and site procedures. Assist with training and onboarding field employees. Maintain accurate documentation regarding staffing, project progress, inspections, incidents, and completed work. Ensure projects remain properly staffed to meet demanding construction turnover schedules and contractual deadlines. Travel between project locations throughout the assigned service territory as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous janitorial, commercial cleaning, facilities, construction cleaning, or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Previous experience supervising multiple employees in a field environment. Ability to effectively supervise teams ranging from 8-25 employees . Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record . Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between assigned project locations. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and understand scopes of work, project requirements, schedules, and cleaning specifications. Ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing project schedules and deadlines. Must be comfortable working on active construction and renovation sites. Must be able to manage multiple phases, mobilizations, and staffing requirements simultaneously. Ability to work flexible schedules when project turnover requirements dictate, including occasional evenings, early mornings, or weekends. Must be dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of holding field staff accountable for performance and quality.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Starting Pay:

$22.00 per hour Benefits are available in accordance with company eligibility requirements.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a hands-on field supervisor who understands that managing janitorial operations involves more than assigning cleaning duties. This individual must be capable of leading employees, inspecting completed work, communicating with clients and project teams, responding to changing field conditions, and ensuring that every assigned area is ready for inspection and turnover.

Experience with large-scale post-construction final cleaning, commercial janitorial contracts, government/procurement contracts, or construction turnover projects is highly desirable.
