Overview Join our dynamic team as a morning (5:30am-2:00pm or evening (3:00pm-11:30pm) shift Sanitation Worker and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment within our food production and processing facilities. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for executing industrial cleaning tasks, handling chemical agents safely, and ensuring sanitation standards are met consistently. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of food production areas, equipment, and machinery using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents. Handle chemicals safely by following strict chemical handling safety procedures and wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when necessary. Conduct sanitation procedures in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards to prevent contamination. Use industrial cleaning tools and janitorial equipment effectively to maintain high hygiene standards across the facility. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies or equipment to ensure efficient workflow while adhering to safety protocols. Document cleaning activities accurately, including chemical usage, sanitation logs, and safety checks. Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure personal safety and the safety of team members during chemical handling and sanitation processes. Experience Prior janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred, especially within food production or processing environments. Familiarity with chemical agents used in sanitation and industrial cleaning is highly desirable. Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety regulations is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of routine cleaning tasks. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals and recording data accurately. Experience with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to respiratory protection guidelines. Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence, including chemical handling safety procedures in a commercial or industrial setting.
