Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, well-organized, and meet safety standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional custodial services that support the overall facility operations. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct heavy lifting tasks using proper techniques to move furniture, supplies, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention. Follow safety guidelines consistently to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning procedures, equipment operation, and chemical handling safety procedures is highly desirable. Experience with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors is a plus. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and general custodial responsibilities enhances effectiveness in this role. Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff and visitors while maintaining cleanliness standards.
