Responsibilities Perform detailed cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for storage, mixing, and disposal to ensure a secure environment Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment while following safe lifting practices Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning windows, walls, fixtures, and other surfaces in accordance with health guidelines Use custodial tools and cleaning equipment efficiently to complete assigned tasks promptly and thoroughly Follow safety protocols consistently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards ensures safe work practices Experience in heavy lifting and manual handling demonstrates physical readiness for the role Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when necessary Previous porter or maintenance experience adds value by supporting broader facilities upkeep tasks This position offers a dynamic work environment where your attention to detail and commitment to safety make a real difference.
