Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors using various techniques such as floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore shine and durability. Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely while adhering to environmental and safety guidelines. Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools to maintain cleanliness across different surfaces. Conduct detailed carpet cleaning and floor care procedures to remove stains, dirt buildup, and wear. Execute custodial duties such as dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfecting with precision. Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of furniture or equipment while following safety protocols. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals ensuring proper storage and usage of all products involved in environmental services. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial best practices. Familiarity with floor care techniques including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing floors. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while understanding proper handling procedures for floor cleaning chemicals. Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and visitors when needed. Knowledge of environmental safety standards related to chemical use and waste disposal. Previous experience with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, vacuums, and other janitorial tools is highly preferred.
