A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
The Margaret Murphy Centers for Children in Saco is currently seeking a custodian/maintenance person to work in their special-purpose private school environment. The chosen candidate will be working in a school setting, completing tasks such as, but not limited to: cleaning, maintenance, small projects, receiving freight, work outdoors, some heavy lifting, and other duties to be determined by the program director. The ideal candidate must be motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment that continues to grow, is a must! The anticipated hiring range for this position is $17.00-$21.00 per hour depending on qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related factors. Eligible employees are also offered a comprehensive benefits package.
