Who We Are:
Since 1991 RNA Facilities Management has offered high-quality janitorial services, facility maintenance & engineering, school bus transportation, snow & ice removal, painting, and landscaping services. As a member of the U.S. Green Building Association, RNA takes a holistic approach to cleaning and maintaining facilities. We have been redefining what it means to be clean with our 'RNA Quality Standard.' This unique approach combines efficient and effective cleaning methods that we have honed over three decades, always striving to surpass our clients' expectations. What you'll be doing: We are looking for an energetic janitor to help clean a chemical manufacturing facility specializing in silicone. This site includes 14 buildings that we service daily. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of these buildings by completing a variety of cleaning tasks, including using a backpack vacuum and a floor scrubbing machine. This is a physically demanding role, as you will be walking from building to building throughout your shift. To succeed in this position, you should have some cleaning experience and a basic knowledge of various cleaning products.
Janitor Responsibilities:
General cleaning of up to 14 onsite buildings, keeping them maintained and in good condition. Clean offices, break rooms, restrooms, and control rooms. Operate a walk-behind machine and top scrubber. Respond to emergency cleanups as needed. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors. Empty trash and recycling bins. Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Keep cleaning supplies in stock. Other responsibilities, as assigned by your supervisor.
Janitor Requirements:
Ability to manage your time efficiently. Use of cell phones during shifts is not permitted due to safety regulations. Comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including steel-toe boots and protective eyewear. Must provide your own steel-toe boots; these are not supplied by RNA Must be willing and comfortable using the following equipment: backpack vacuums, upright vacuums, Viper machine, and top scrubber. Work well when supervisors are not present. Ability to work one or two weekends each month, either Saturday or Sunday. Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies. Able to work independently or with a team. Able to use basic cleaning equipment. High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent. Authorized to work in the U.S. - We Use E-Verify.
