This essential role ensures that all areas are kept clean, sanitized, and compliant with safety standards, supporting the overall efficiency of our operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to cleanliness, safety protocols, and teamwork to create a welcoming space for employees and visitors alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and surface disinfecting across all designated areas. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering to chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums efficiently and safely. Follow strict sanitation protocols to maintain hygiene standards in food-related environments and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Use respiratory protection and other PPE correctly during cleaning tasks involving chemical agents or dust. Assist with heavy lifting tasks when moving supplies or equipment as needed while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in industrial or food processing settings preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical agent handling. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety compliance.
