In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are hygienic, safe, and welcoming for staff, clients, and visitors alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning and attention to detail will contribute significantly to creating a positive environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in diverse settings, including residential, commercial, and hospitality environments, where your skills in cleaning and maintenance will shine. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to established standards to ensure hygiene and safety Conduct laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed Dust and clean furniture, windowsills, vents, and other surfaces to maintain a dust-free environment Handle heavy lifting tasks safely during the moving or repositioning of furniture or equipment Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas when required, including sweeping walkways or outdoor furniture Communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding specific cleaning needs or issues Manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning schedules within designated timeframes Use janitorial equipment properly for carpet cleaning, floor care, or surface sanitation tasks Follow health and safety guidelines related to manual handling and the use of cleaning chemicals Qualifications Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is preferred Knowledge of cleaning procedures including floor care, carpet cleaning, dusting, and surface sanitation Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning equipment Ability to perform and handle manual tasks with efficiency Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces when required Previous janitorial or custodial experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate Join our team as a General Cleaner and help us create spotless environments that promote health, safety, and comfort!
