As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all areas are kept in pristine condition, promoting health and safety standards, and providing excellent service to staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create an inviting space that reflects our commitment to cleanliness and sanitation. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, and fixtures. Handle window cleaning and pressure washing to ensure all glass surfaces and exterior areas are spotless and well-maintained. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and chemical sprayers safely and effectively. Manage laundry services when required, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly during all cleaning activities to ensure safety and compliance with health standards. Conduct sanitation procedures throughout the facility to prevent infection control issues and uphold hygiene standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment while following manual handling safety protocols. Requirements Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or institutional settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including window cleaning, floor care, and chemical handling. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with pressure washing and sanitation practices is a plus. Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with infection control procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and handle manual handling requirements confidently.
