Part Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Summary The Janitor/Custodian position ensures efficient and professional cleaning operations within the specified building. This position is a working level position that ensures assigned site(s) are being cleaned and disinfected to their full potential. This position will require a basic level of knowledge of cleaning, and workmanship. Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities An employee in this position may be called upon to do any and/or all the following essential functions; but are not limited to the duties which the employee may be expected to perform. An individual in this position will need to complete each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.- Wash windows and mirrors.
- Take trash and recycling out.
- Sanitize surfaces.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms.
- Sweeps, mops, polishes, and vacuum floors.
- Uses common cleaning tools.
- Refill paper product dispensers/soap dispensers
- Be observant and have a high attention to detail.
- Possess knowledge and understanding of company policy, procedure, and operational requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Lock the doors and turn off light at the end of shifts.
- Ensure buildings are secured during/at end of shifts.
- High initiative and reliable.
- Complete a cleaning checklist.
- Ensure all areas of the building are cleaning to set standards.
