Job Summary We are seeking skilled and responsible Zamboni Drivers to operate ice resurfacing machines at our facility. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality ice surfaces for skating, hockey, and recreational activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and custodial work, with a focus on commercial cleaning or janitorial services. Candidates must be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently to ensure the ice surface remains pristine and safe for all users. Responsibilities Operate Zamboni ice resurfacing machines to smooth and maintain the ice surface efficiently and safely. Conduct routine inspections of the equipment to ensure proper functioning and perform basic troubleshooting when necessary. Clean and sanitize the Zamboni and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards. Assist with general custodial tasks around the facility, including cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas. Follow safety protocols during operation and maintenance of equipment to prevent accidents or injuries. Coordinate with facility staff to schedule resurfacing times that minimize disruption to activities. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and cleaning activities. Qualifications Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services is preferred. Experience operating large machinery such as Zamboni or similar equipment is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines. Good physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred for operational flexibility.
