A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Join Our Flip Week Cleaning Crew! Looking for a great way to earn extra money before summer ends? Braveworks is hiring energetic, dependable individuals to help prepare apartments for new residents during our annual Flip Week at The Elements. No previous professional cleaning experience is required, we'll provide the supplies and work as a team! This is an excellent opportunity for college students, high school students (with a valid work permit if required), teachers on summer break, or anyone looking for short-term work. Schedule Monday, August 3, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Applicants available all five days are preferred, but we also welcome applicants who are available for only certain days. Responsibilities Working with a team, you will prepare apartments for incoming residents by: Cleaning kitchens, including appliances, cabinets, countertops, and sinks Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, tubs, showers, mirrors, and floors Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors Dusting and wiping down all surfaces Cleaning bedrooms and living areas Emptying trash and preparing apartments for move-in Working efficiently with your team to meet daily cleaning goals This is a physically active position that requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and cleaning throughout the day. Qualifications Reliable and dependable Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work well with others Attention to detail Ability to perform physical work throughout an 8-hour shift Must be at least 16 years old Applicants under 18 who are currently enrolled in high school must obtain a valid Michigan work permit before beginning employment.
