Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary:

Camp Tanuga is seeking a part time seasonal dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. The role involves cleaning and stocking various bathrooms, including cabin bathrooms, bath houses, and common areas, ensuring a pleasant and sanitary environment for campers and staff. This job is seasonal from mid-April through September.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning Duties:

• Clean and sanitize approximately 22 cabin bathrooms, ensuring all fixtures are spotless and hygienic.
• Maintain cleanliness of two bath houses:
• Bath House 1: Clean and sanitize 10 showers, sinks, 5 toilets, and 3 urinals.
• Bath House 2: Clean and sanitize 3 showers, toilets, and sinks.
• Regularly clean common areas and facilities as needed.
• When requested, clean and maintain the eight-unit lodge, ensuring all common areas, hallways, and bathroom areas are tidy and presentable. Most of the time bedding will need to be changed when new guests book the lodge.

• Stocking and Supplies:

• Restock supplies in all bathrooms, including toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are organized and readily available for use.

• Waste Management:

• Empty garbage bins in all bathrooms and common areas, ensuring proper disposal of waste.

• Schedule:

• Perform cleaning tasks at least three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
• Start cleaning duties in the morning to ensure facilities are prepared for daily camp activities.

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with camp staff.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Pay:

$15.00
