What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
1. High School Diploma 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 3. Experience in general maintenance of building 4. Experience and knowledge of minor repair on cleaning equipment 5. Ability to work with cleaning chemicals in accordance with established procedures 6. Ability to read and understand mixing instructions on cleaning materials, chemicals, etc. 7. Ability to lift heavy objects safely, work off ladders and scaffolding 8. Must be able to work independently and work well with fellow employees while maintaining good public relations 9. Subject to background/fingerprinting check
