A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a hands on, highly mobile Team Lead to oversee our building operations and ensure our clients receive top tier service. This is not a "behind the desk" job you are the heartbeat of our field operations. You will be responsible for building inspections, staff coaching, and ensuring every facility is "up to par." The ideal candidate is a problem solver who does not mind an early start, enjoys being on the move, and is willing to lead by example whether that is training a new hire or stepping in to clean a building when a team member is absent.
Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular on site inspections and ensure cleaning standards meet company "PAR" levels.
Team Leadership:
Manage employee schedules across multiple locations; train new hires and provide real time coaching or support to "Pros" in the field.
Equipment and Inventory:
Monitor on site supplies and perform maintenance checks on equipment (vacuums/floor machines) to ensure they are clean and functional.
Administrative Duties:
Manage employee timecards via ADP and submit work tickets for service disruptions.
Logistics:
Transport supplies to buildings and shuttle equipment requiring maintenance back to the Roseville office.
Client Relations:
Maintain a physical presence at buildings 5 days a week to check in with clients and ensure total satisfaction.
Schedule and Availability Standard Hours:
Monday through Friday, starting as early as 6:30 AM.
On Call:
Every other weekend.
Rapid Response:
If a staff member calls off, you are expected to be on site within one hour (No Later Than 8:30 AM) if support services are unavailable.
Night Shift:
Work a night shift 2x per month to coach or inspect the night crew (flexible start time the following day).
Travel:
Must be willing to travel to buildings regardless of distance (up to 1 hour or more from your home base).
Qualifications and Requirements Adaptability:
Willingness to learn every cleaning role and supply layout for every building in the portfolio.
Tech Savvy:
Ability to use a company laptop or phone and manage payroll through ADP.
Mobility:
Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Leadership:
Strong communication skills and the ability to coach underperforming team members.
Compensation and Benefits Pay:
$18hr
Vehicle Allowance:
$400 monthly allowance.
