What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Empty trash and recycling receptacles into appropriate waste bins and ensure receptacles are kept Vaccuum all carpeted areas and spot clean when necessary Sweep, Mop, and polish floors using the appropriate cleaning supplies Clean and dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures and other hard to reach surfaces Wash windows, mirrors and glass surfaces making sure they are streak free Clean and disinfect bathrooms, ensure soap and paper towel dispensers are well stocked Take inventory of supplies and materials, making sure you're letting your supervisor know to order more as needed Infor Area Manager of anything that is broken or not functioning properly so that the issue is resolved promptlyQUALIFICATIONS
Capable to follow instructions and learn new techniques Strong time management skills in order to ensure all work is completed at the end of each shift Self starter determined to complete task with minimal supervision Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team Able to lift 20 pounds for short periods of time Possess a strong attention to detail Must be 18+ years or older Valid driver's license proof of car insuranceBenefits
