A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

QUINCY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT QUINCY, MICHIGAN

Part-Time Custodial Position 20-25 Hours per week, flexible schedule Position Currently Open Quincy Community Schools is currently looking for a Part-Time Custodian to join our custodial team and help us provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn. This is a 20-25 hours per week position, with a flexible schedule. To be considered for this position, successful candidates should have: 1. Knowledge of cleaning and general maintenance procedures. 2. Knowledge in the operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment. 3. Ability to read and understand operating instructions. 4. Knowledge of worker safety. 5. Ability to see things that need to be done. 6. Ability to lift 50 pounds. 7. Initiative and ability to work without supervision. 8. Ability to carry out directives, budget time and meet responsibilities on schedule. 9. Ability to organize and carry out tasks in an efficient manner. 10. Able to relate to people. 11. High school diploma or equivalent. 12. Custodial experience preferred.
