Job Description

Job Summary I have a small machine shop and haven't had cleaning help in a while. I need someone to come in to help get things cleaned back up and organized. The work will involve sweeping, mopping, cleaning out chips from inside the machines, vacuuming with a shop vac, cleaning the outside of the machines, organizing, putting tools away, and changing filters and coolant in the machines. Some yard work—cleaning flower beds and trimming bushes—and possibly cleaning up the parking lot will also be required. Being able to drive your own car to run errands would be helpful too, but it is not a necessity. This is a temporary position of 10 to 20 hours per week until things get back in shape, with a possible 5 to 10 hours per week afterward. Thank you for considering this position. Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within retail or commercial environments. Familiarity with chemical agent handling and safety procedures related to sanitation products. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices. Experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work that demonstrates attention to detail and reliability. Basic understanding of safety protocols related to commercial cleaning and manual handling tasks.
