General Summary:
The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for performing janitorial work required for routine cleaning, upkeep of building and grounds, vehicles and bus shelters under general supervision. (Maintenance Supervisor)Essential Job Functions:
1. Inspects Authority vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards and regulations. 2. Perform heavy cleaning duties and routine maintenance. 3. Notify managers concerning the need for repairs to the building, grounds, vehicles and bus shelters. 4. Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. 5. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Assistant General Manager - Maintenance.Examination/Screening:
Selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a drug screen, physical examination, and background check.Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
