Job Description
Custodian Full-time SUMMARY Keeps designated institutional building(s) in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned by proper personnel. Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, surfaces, and trim. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, and other work areas. Sweeps floor. Dusts furniture and equipment. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom and cleaning supplies. Set up rooms for events. Transports small equipment or tools between departments. Removes snow from building entrances a minimum of ten (10) feet from bottom step. Performs other duties as necessary outside of assigned work area.
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a member of Business Affairs reporting directly to the Custodial Supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises student employees, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
