Shift Job Summary:
Environmental Operators are responsible for all environmental needs in the shop. This position is a champion for reusing, reducing, and recycling all material possible in a safe and clean manner. Most job responsibilities are performed using a forklift. The job of Environmental Tech is is 100% on the plant floor.
Job Description:
Tasks:
Dump chip hoppers using forklift Empty trash cans throughout the shop and rest rooms Cleans restrooms once per shift Mix coolants and add coolant to machines when necessary Breakdown and bale cardboard boxes Check the concentration levels on machines Recycle used coolant in a safe and clean manner Cut filter media for machines Run the floor scrubber Clean coolant tanks

Competencies:
Ability to complete tasks independently Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others. Ability to comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources Ability to participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Requirements:
1+ years related experience preferred 3+ years experience as a Forklift Operator required Must have a valid driver's license Understanding and knowledge of ISO standards preferred J. G.
