Full-Time Job Summary The Body Shop Porter/Detailer is responsible for supporting the production and administrative roles in the collision center, keeping the facility organized, and detailing vehicles to a high standard before they're returned to customers. This role is essential to keeping the shop running smoothly and ensuring every customer drives away with a clean, well-presented vehicle. Key Responsibilities Safely move, park, and organize customer and shop vehicles throughout the facility and lot Wash, wax, vacuum, and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors to dealership/shop standards Remove protective coverings, tape, and masking materials after paint and repair work Perform final quality checks on vehicle appearance before delivery to customers Keep the shop, lot, and work bays clean, organized, and free of hazards Transport vehicles to and from other locations (rental agencies, other shops, customer homes) as needed Assist technicians and estimators by retrieving parts, tools, or vehicles as requested Maintain accurate records of vehicle movement and location within the facility Fuel vehicles and perform basic checks (tire pressure, fluid levels) as needed Follow all safety protocols when operating vehicles and handling shop equipment Support other departments with general porter duties as assigned Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles Prior detailing or automotive experience Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Physical Requirements Extensive walking required.
