Description Performs janitorial/custodial maintenance of the Newaygo County Commission on Aging, public and administration areas, as well as the commercial kitchen. Examples of Duties Under the direction of the COA Director, responsible for maintaining a clean work environment for staff and visitors. Responsible maintaining a clean environment in the commercial kitchen. Cleans building by emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning surfaces. Regularly cleans and disinfects sinks, faucets, urinals, stools, and other fixtures in restrooms. Restocks all restrooms with towels, tissue, and soap as needed. Cleans and disinfects windows, doors and glass partitions. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Conducts safety checks to ensure all doors and windows are locked and building is secure before departure. On a routine basis dust walls, ceilings, air vents, and light fixtures. Typical Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Work independently within established procedures and policies. Must have the ability to work from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
