What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Our team provides daily support to maintain building systems and structures, service the grounds, provide custodial services, oversee construction and renovation projects, maintain compliance with building and fire codes, safety and environmental regulations, oversee security and fire alarm systems in all buildings. The night lead custodian coordinates the service for all user groups, the cleaning tasks and operation of various types of cleaning equipment to care for and maintain assigned buildings and related facilities; and perform related work as required.Major Job Functions/Specific Tasks:

High school diploma or equivalent State of Minnesota Boilers Licenses (class dependent of size of equipment in building)- within two years of placement MN Register Unlicensed Electrician
- within one year of placement Pool Operator License if assigned building has a pool
- within one year of placement Certified Building Operator Certificate preferred OSHA Standard, Right to Know, Blood Borne Pathogens (provided upon hire)
