CUSTODIAN - POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

About the Custodian Position This position is primarily for cleaning and offers an immediate start.

Status:

Custodian is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Hours:

20 hours/week, Monday-Friday evenings, 5 pm to 9 pm.

Required Qualifications:

Previous building maintenance/cleaning experience Ability to pass a background check is required Able to lift & carry 50 lbs Ability to climb a 16' ladder while following OSHA safety guidelines Available to work Monday through Friday with a set schedule Must be on time and follow scheduled breaks Able to work on hands & knees while reaching around objects and into hard to reach areas Capable of managing multiple tasks with varying timelines and deadlines Change bags in vacuum cleaner as appropriate and maintain overall working condition of custodial equipment Keep a timely schedule and modify as needed to meet daily requirements and other tasks as needed Ability to communicate overall project completion Able to communicate to supervisor supply needs well in advance Able to manage individual workload and coordinate with Operations Officer on larger projects High attention to detail is essential Practicing safe work habits is essential Compensation & Benefits Retirement plan Paid Sick Leave This employer values diversity in every aspect of the school community.
