Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented, results-driven International Account Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our internationally-based clients, identifying their product needs via submitted RFQ's (request for quotation), conducting web-based research with our bank of U.S.-based suppliers to source/price requested products, providing formal product quotations, and eventually converting quotations to orders. The ideal candidate will possess a high-level commitment to customer service and follow-through. In addition, to successfully connect with our broad global client base, the International Account Rep must blend an extra measure of patience with clear written communications to support and foster business growth. This role requires someone who enjoys challenges, thinks creatively, and takes ownership. We value individuals who actively seek opportunities and contribute to a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with existing globally-based clients, while actively engaging in new customer business opportunities. Ensuring our clients understand the value of our personalized customer service excellence. We're not a catalogue company. Our clients value direct professional engagement, primarily via email, to help them source the American-made products, parts, and components they need to buy. Directly interface with an assigned customer base, while embracing new customer inquiry opportunities, ensuring all accounts receive the appropriate attention and support that is the hallmark of our brand. Collaborate with team members to understand and pursue new and/or unfamiliar product requests, sharing best practices to maximize results deliverance. Utilize software tools, including a custom in-house program, for managing customer interactions, sending quotes, and converting quotes into orders. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, answering any questions, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction. Engage in internal business activities that may fall outside the general scope of the International Account Rep role, as may be needed from time to time, to support other team members and best support business growth. Skills A team player committed to working with and supporting other employees in the H&H business. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport quickly, whether communicating via email or verbally. Adeptness and adaptability to web-based research to source products from a broad array of American-made products. Refined organizational skills, with the capability to multi-task, is necessary due to the varied nature of customer RFQ's and order fulfillment requirements. Ability to respect and work with international-based customers that may conduct business differently than U.S.-based customers & businesses. Exercise patience & tenacity to effectively communicate with international clients who are not fully proficient in the English language. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction. Ability to manage assigned and new clients effectively while prioritizing tasks. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. Adaptability to process changes that yield efficiency gains, and an openness to utilize AI and e-commerce integration tools aimed at maximizing customer service and support..
