Position Overview The Custodian is responsible for taking great care of our facilities and vehicles through regular cleaning. This role assists with set up for visitations and funerals. This is a part-time position that reports directly to our Funeral Home Manager and 1904 Building Manager. Responsibilities Set up chairs and tables for visitations and funerals at our Hastings and Apple Valley funeral homes. Clean funeral homes after visitations and funerals by vacuuming floors, mopping kitchen and restroom floors, cleaning restrooms, and emptying trash cans. Meticulously care for fleet vehicles (hearses, vans, bus, etc.) by washing/polishing the exteriors and vacuuming/detailing the interiors. Keep garages clean by regularly sweeping, blowing debris, and mopping floors. Clean 1904 Professional Building every other week by mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning restrooms, and emptying trash cans. Perform regular deep cleaning at funeral homes and 1904 Professional Building. Perform miscellaneous maintenance duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Driven and dedicated work ethic. Willingness to take direction and feedback while also working independently. Sound decision making skills with a kind and respectful demeanor. Ability to work a flexible, part-time schedule. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time and bend as needed. Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds.
