A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

1st Shift Our General Cleaner position performs the following duties within designated work areas, as assigned at the beginning of each shift: Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule. Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, and windows. Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the sales floor and seating area. Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the site. Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles. Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces. Dust fixtures, shelves, furniture, and equipment. Maintain the cleanliness of the customer and team member restrooms (includes cleaning and policing as needed). Complete sweep logs, as directed. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills. Report work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor daily. Other janitorial duties may be assigned as needed Requirements for our General Cleaner positions: Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 25 pounds. Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists Standing and walking in and around the facility with great frequency for up to 10-12 hours Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required ).
