What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Maintains safety on all grounds, buildings and equipment as needed to provide a safe and clean environment. Provides coordination of security and event needs, and direction of evening custodial staff. Performs cleaning duties and maintains supplies Performs maintenance duties Coordinates storage duties and setting up for events Coordinates and performs various external building safety needs and maintains pleasant appearance of buildings and grounds Coordinates schedules for maintenance staff at the secondary level. Performs upkeep of floors Preferred Qualifications- not required Up to one year of specialized or technical training which relates to this position. Experience in boiler operations.
