A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Position Summary The Custodian plays a vital role in ensuring that Westmor Industries provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our facilities, supporting a positive first impression and fostering a productive workspace. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of creating a space that reflects Westmor Industries' commitment to quality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, offices, and break rooms Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and locker rooms, ensuring they are fully stocked with supplies Clean conference rooms and the Training Center, including room setup and air wall adjustments as needed Complete routine cleaning tasks, such as: Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors Dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces Washing windows, doors, and glass partitions Emptying waste containers and recycling bins Perform light maintenance tasks such as painting and touch-ups Assist with snow removal around building entrances and walkways to ensure safety Keep work areas clean, orderly, and aligned with health and safety standards Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent upkeep of facilities Take initiative to identify and address cleaning or maintenance needs proactively Perform other duties as assigned to support the facilities team and company operations Compensation The starting pay range for this position is $18-23 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location. Day Shift Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
