•$20.42 per hour ; or Custodian (B21), $20.51

High school diploma or GED A qualifying boiler license is required for placement in the Custodian classification Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, push and pull equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to communicate positively with building staff, families, and the public

Summary of Duties:

Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, entrances, hallways, and other assigned spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, strip, finish, and maintain floors as assigned. Empty trash and recycling and replace liners. Clean and disinfect restrooms, fixtures, drinking fountains, and high-touch surfaces. Maintain adequate custodial supplies within assigned areas. Inspect assigned areas and identify cleaning, safety, or maintenance concerns. Submit or report work-order needs through established District procedures. Assist with building security, including checking doors, windows, and other assigned areas. Set up and take down tables, chairs, furniture, and equipment for school activities, events and lunch. Assist with snow and ice removal, including sidewalks, entrances, and other assigned areas. Perform boiler checks when assigned and properly licensed. Assist other custodial staff and provide building coverage when directed. Respond to spills, emergencies, safety concerns, and other custodial needs during the workday. Perform summer cleaning and other seasonal custodial work. Follow District safety procedures, policies, work rules, and supervisor directives. Perform other custodial duties consistent with the assigned classification.
