What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Orono Public Schools is hiring a Night Lead Custodian to keep our elementary facility safe, clean, and well-maintained while guiding our evening custodial team. Why Join the Orono Schools Team? •

Licenses:
Certified Pool Operator License required (or ability to obtain). ¢ Appropriate boiler license required (or ability to obtain).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and/or walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat, and/or climb stairs, Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, Ability to work in a variety of conditions and environments (e.g., dusty, wet, cold, hot, high humidity, noisy, indoors, outdoors, at heights, and in small spaces).
