A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Position Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for general cleaning of common areas, trash and recycling disposal and major floor care projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
General cleaning of common areas. Picks up and removes trash and recycle from the Community. Maintains floors and carpets within the Community. Banquet and event set up. Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively. Previous floor maintenance experience preferred but not required. Available seven (7) days per week for work schedule.
