What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Description:
Roseville Area Schools has an opening for a Custodian - Evening Maintenance Lead at Roseville Area Middle School. Hours are Monday-Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring other custodial staff, cleaning assigned areas, assisting with event set-ups, and various other duties supporting the needs of the many programs utilizing the building. Candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and work closely with the building engineer to resolve work orders and staff requests. Qualifications:
Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Strong organizational and communication skills required Moderate computer proficiency Ability to prioritize the needs of the building and give direction to evening crew Be a self starter: be able to recognize, analyze, develop solutions and initiate problem solving with little information or direction Ability to maintain regular attendance This position requires a 1st Class C boiler license
Compensation:
Roseville Schools offers a full benefit package including medical, dental and retirement. Starting pay for this position is $28.68 per hour. Additional compensation to include shift differential pay of $60 per month and a license incentive of $.50 cents per hour for holding the appropriate boiler license required for the position.
