The lead custodian is responsible for providing a safe and clean environment for the students, staff and public. The lead custodian will problem solve in the Head Custodian's absence and to provide work direction, guidance and assistance to other Custodians. Main point of contact for community groups and other public entities in the evening/weekend during events in assigned building.Duties and Responsibilities:
The Lead Custodian helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and the community. This position performs custodial cleaning and minor maintenance, coordinates evening cleaning operations, provides day-to-day work direction to custodial staff, and serves as the primary contact in the absence of a Head Custodian. Responsibilities also include setting up and supporting building events, monitoring building systems and security, maintaining custodial supplies and inventory, assisting with shipping and receiving, supporting snow and ice removal to ensure safe building access, and performing other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
